5. By private car via Italy (to Patras or Igoumenitsa) - across Greek mainland to port of Aghios Constantinos - ferry to Skopelos (4 hours).
6. By private car via Italy (to Patras or Igoumenitsa) - across Greek mainland to port of Volos - ferry to Skopelos (4 1/2 hours).
There are also a number of different Greek ports that serve the Sporades, such as Platanias, Trikeri, Trikeri Island in the prefecture of Magnesia, Aghios Ioannis in Pelion, Moudania in Chalkidiki, Chalkis, Limni, Aedipsos, Orei, Pefki in Euboea (Evia), Skyros Island.
ACCESS FROM WITHIN GREECE.
1. From Athens: Bus or taxi to Alkyon Travel, 97 Akademias Street, Kanigos Square, Athens. Board agency coach to Port of Agios Constantinos and connect with hydrofoil or ferry boat to the ports of Glossa or Skopelos town. Travel times are : Agios Constantinos-Glossa by hydrofoil only: 1hr45'. Agios Constantinos-Skopelos Town by hydrofoil 2hrs30', by boat 4hrs30'.
2. From Athens: Taxi to Akadimias St. 97 at Alkyon Travel Offices. A tourist coach departs in time for a connection with a ferry boat from the port of Aghios Constantinos.
This way, Athens - Skopelos takes up to 6 hours and it includes an interesting trip through the mainland as well as a leisurely boat trip.
3. From Thessaloniki port by hydrofoil. (Only June to mid September).
4. From Volos port by Hydrofoil (2,5 hours), by Ferry (4 hours).
5. From Aghios Constantinos port by hydrofoil (2,5 hours) or by Ferry (4,5 hours).
